Wire Jewellery Workshops
Join me for a fun day of making jewellery using an array of wire work techniques at Victoria Works Studios in Chalford near Stroud.
In this intensive workshop you will be taught how to spiral, hammer and weave wire to create a a finished piece. You will learn how to make ear wires and add on beads to finish.
I will guide you through the steps to create your own earrings or pendant based on one of my designs, with the opportunity to personalise your piece. There will be the option to choose from different metals, including sterling silver, brass and copper.
What is included?
All materials, including enough sterling silver wire to make a pair of earrings or 1 pendant will be provided. Additional materials will be available to purchase.
I will email you a worksheet of the steps used in the class so that you can have a go at home and continue with your jewellery making journey. I am more than happy to advise you on the basic tools needed.
Who is it suitable for?
The class is suitable for complete beginners but also great for anyone with any previous experience in working with wire or jewellery making.
What to bring
A pair of reading glasses if you need them for working on detail. If you do have any beads that you would like to add to the design, do bring them along to see if we can incorporate them into the piece.
We will take a break for 45 minutes to grab some lunch from the Lavender bakehouse next door or bring your own packed lunch. Teas and coffee will be provided.
